Optometry
Optometry, profession concerned with vision problems and eye health. Optometrists conduct eye tests, prescribe corrective lenses (see Eyeglasses), and recommend eye therapy, if necessary. In many states of the United States, optometrists are licensed to prescribe medications to treat eye diseases.
